The first training and learning activity is behind us: from 9th to 13th of September project team together with invited trainers took part in the workshops in Subotica, Serbia. The workshops were hosted by project partner – Open University of Subotica.
Theme of the training was “Back to basics” understood as the way to discuss about the principles of the SE and its impact for education. The training was based on WP3 – SE educational programme and included following issues:
- testing selected sections of the modules that make up the Social Entrepreneurship Programme (Handbook and the Lessons’ Scenarios). Each partner conducted the session based on different modules: 1) Social economics and the primacy of value over profit; 2) Social economics and inequality; 3).Social economics and local development; 4) Social economics and digital transformation; 5) Emerging and ageing societies; 6) Social economics and climate change.
- analysing the offer of SE, identifying the barriers – analysing opportunities and barriers to the development of the social economy in Serbia and talking to local social enterprises was a particularly valuable experience;
- discussion about the possible ways of involving young people into activities related to social economy;
- visiting local social enterprises such as Sound of Heart from Subotica and learning about their way of operating;
- and last but not least discussing about cinema and its possible role in increasing the level of interest youngster into social economy issues.
It was four intense but very interesting days and we can surely say that we have dipped a toe into water with our educational programme. Next step – pilot testing sessions in each partner’s country. Keep your fingers crossed!
